RRHH Department
Dear Mr. Carlton,

I found your request for an entry level job at monter.com referring in the position of being a candidate to Electronics Design, Analysis and Packaging Department and process team, it sounded very interesting to me.
I am 20 years old, I am from Venezuela, but now I am living in United States. I studied 5 years at URBE and I got my title like Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Also I finished the course of CCNA in Cisco; I took 19 levels at CEVAZ so I can speak English very well. I took a Course of PSPICE, Math lab and VHDL. I'm very organized, I'm a self-motivated worker, but I enjoy working as a team player. My belief is that since we spend the majority of our lives in the workplace, work should be a pleasant experience. I would like to continue my success under your direction in Pratt & Whitney.
I know how to operate standard bench top lab test equipment; I have enough knowledge of Analog/Digital circuit design, also experience in the use of design analysis tools.
If my experience is attractive to you, please feel free to contact me at ctt@urbe.edu. Thank you for you consideration.
I hope you will consider me for an interview.

Daniela Jimenez

Microcontroller battles ARM in auto safety

Microcontroller battles ARM in auto safety

The microcontroller is something very common in our lives, in fact without them… we would not really have all the greatest things that we have nowadays, such as cell phones, calculators… As we can see, all the companies are looking foward for the making of the newest microcontroller ever.
In this case we have Infineon “has launched a new version of its popular C166 microcontroller”. For those who have worked or know about microcontroller, are sure that this new product is very awesone, for all the characteristics that it has "The safety segment is the strongest growing automotive application area with about 10 % growth for the next five years," he said. "Infineon's combined in-house offering of microcontroller core, sensor and power semiconductors together with our broad system know-how for safety applications make us unique among automotive chip suppliers."
There are a lot of companies, that make this incredible small machines such as Toshiba. “The automotive controller market is deploying increasingly complex applications on microcontrollers while demanding increased safety certification and improved code reuse,” said Yutaka Murao, Senior Fellow in the System LSI Division at Toshiba.

INTERVIEW! ^_^

An interview! Interview a friend about their choice of carreer.
Name: Daniela C. Jimenez Z.
Date: 21-01-08
Questions:
1.Could you please define Engineering in your own words?
Well, it is simply, it’s all about “the art of directing the great sources of power in nature for the use and the convenience of people” it gives the tools in order to invent anything.

2. What influenced you to pursue Electronics engineering, industrial ingeneering, computer science engineering or informatics engineering?
Well, to start, when I was younger and I was thinking what to study, I always wanted something related with engineering, I wasn’t sure which one at the beginning. Then I spoke with some older friends than me, who were already at the university studying an engineering career, and I liked electronics because it gives me a lot of places where I could work and use my knowledge, and I wanted to find out how stuffs work.

3. Could you please describe the educational process required to become an Engineer?
It is not different from other careers you just have to study hard because it’s not easy at all…and you will see you effort pays off!

4. What are the skills you need to be a good engineer?
I think that anyone that likes math, physics an all those subjects that are numbers, has at lest one of the skills, however it is not everything, you must be very creative and imaginative in order to solve all type of problems that we are going to find not just studying but when we will working in a company or our own business. Also you have to have the idea of helping people, I mean be able to invent some thing that people need. To study a lot :P

5. What job considerations were you looking for after you completed your education?
I would like to work in a big company I am not sure which one now, but I want to learn a lot of things and later star running my own business, I want to get experience. I would like to do my internship in “Enelven” that’s a company of electricity for those who don’t know.

6. What's something of your school life that you enjoy the most?
Be able to learn how the electric things work, discover new things, do projects by myself at home just for fun, meet people.

7. From your perspective, what is the most difficult part of being an engineering student?
I think that is discover which is the problem when a circuit is not working well, also get used to all kind of different measurement ‘s instruments that we find in laboratories.

8. What are your plans for the future?
I want to move to Caracas find a good job, get experience, and go for Spain to do a postgrade and then maybe star running my own company.

9. Point out your most personally gratifying moment in engineering school.
When I can finish a circuit and it works immediately, and when I study hard for a tough exam and pass it excellent.

10. Why would you recommend Engineering as a career?
It’s wonderful all the knowledge that you get, you develop you creative side in order to make a new circuit or whatever that you can do, you can invent whatever you want.

WELCOME TO MY BLOG!

Hi everybody! My name is Daniela Jimenez I’m 20 years old, I’m from Venezuela, I am studying electronic Engineering, and I am the kind of person that like a lot of things! For example I love any type of music (heavy metal, pop, rock, R&B, romantics) if I heard a song that I like I just get it from internet and that’s it. My favorite group is a band named Angra, they are from brazil but they sing in English too, I also like incubus, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, guaco, tecupae, wisin y yandel jeje well there are a lot of more groups that I love the list is huge. I enjoy sports, almost any kind of sport, however I love the most futboll and formula 1, my favorite teams are Real Madrid, Juventus, and I go for Ferrari. I really love the career that I am studying, It gives me a plenty of things to do. For my future I am planning to move to Caracas, I think there I could find better jobs, in five years maybe be married. I sleep a lot, and listen music, I don’t like the people who are fake and liars. I part of a group here at URBE called “Club Saber electronica” we are in second floor of “bloque G” in an office named CTT (Centro de transferencia y tecnologia). I find very interesting be able to speak with a lot of person from others countries. I meet other teachers; it is more fun in order to learn English. I studied at CEVAZ, I finished 19 levels like 3 years ago, and sometimes I forget some words or how to say some things because not always I am talking or writing it, I need more practice and I know I will get it here.
